This page represents a work in progress, whose purpose is only to explore the creation of graphical lineage charts or trees. The lineages shown here are not comprehensive, but rather are intended to illustrate relationships between different fencing masters.
Red lines indicate well documented relationships, green indicates a relationship that is either poorly documented or documented by only one less-than-than-fully-reliable source. Hopefully none of our sources were engaging in pure fabrication or speculation. A dotted line indicates an indirect relationship, in which there is likely at least one missing generation between the beginning and end of the line.
